Are you brave enough to embark on an adventure and unravel the Secret of the Iconoclasm? The churches Oude and Nieuwe Kerk of Delft are opening their doors for a unique experience: an escape route that combines Delft's history and the tumultuous period of the Iconoclasm in the city's oldest churches with adventure.
Crack the codes
In approximately 75 to 90 minutes, you will solve a series of puzzles, crack codes and follow cryptic clues. Your goal? To find a secret treasure that was hidden during the Iconoclastic Fury, a tumultuous period in which Protestants destroyed statues, paintings and relics in a battle against what they saw as idolatry. But not everything was lost. In the heart of the conflict, some managed to hide part of the valuables. It is up to you and your team to track down these lost treasures, hidden somewhere within the walls of these historic churches. And who wouldn't want to crack puzzles in this place that exudes history and sanctity?
A unique introduction to Delft's old churches
As you follow the clues and solve the mysteries, you will learn about the rich history of the Oude Kerk and Nieuwe Kerk in an interactive way. Discover stories from the past, admire the architecture and, if you are clever and quick enough, you may even uncover the Secret of the Iconoclasm.

- Part of the route takes place outdoors. If rain is expected, make sure you bring an umbrella or raincoat.
- You will need at least a charged smartphone with internet access to follow the route!
* Experience has shown that this is a wonderful activity for friends, colleagues and also a great family outing. However, the puzzles are too complicated for the youngest children. Children aged 9 and above can definitely actively participate in the search.
