Our mission

The profitable creation and operation of a recreational business, whereby its location in a green environment and proximity to a city creates an interaction between nature, culture and recreation. In this way, the company makes use of its unique location in that environment and is used to strengthen the environment. In addition, the company provides a responsible way of learning about that environment.

As a holiday park in the middle of the Randstad, Vakantiepark Delftse Hout wants to set an example. That is why Vakantiepark Delftse Hout has a policy that focuses on treating people, the environment and the planet with care.

Green Key

The Green Key is the international quality mark for companies in the tourism and recreation sector and for meeting venues that are seriously and verifiably committed to sustainability and care for the environment and nature in their surroundings. Strict sustainability conditions apply to obtaining the Green Key.

MVO statement

Delftse Hout Holiday Park complies or intends to comply with the following agreements: 

  • All taps are fitted with water-saving heads.
  • Waste is separated.
  • Our swimming pool is heated by solar energy.
  • We provide information about the possibilities of using bicycles and public transport.
  • We organise nature activities in collaboration with the Papaver nature and environment centre to raise awareness among our guests.
  • In addition, we encourage and support our employees to develop a sustainable vision, so that they too are conscious of their energy consumption and waste disposal. We also promote cycling to work among our employees. 
  • We actively contribute to the development of our field and the transfer of our knowledge to others who want to learn the trade. 
  • We inform our business relations (customers/clients, colleagues and suppliers) that we operate in a socially responsible manner. 
  • We make transparent agreements with customers/clients and/or suppliers about the quality of our services and monitor the quality we deliver.
  • We determine the social impact of our services and limit this as much as possible insofar as it has a negative impact, such as fraudulent behaviour, intimidation, exploitation and child labour. 
  • We monitor both the continuity of our company and that of our employees, and we provide for provisions should we face a loss of income.
  • We voluntarily contribute to social causes through donations and sponsorship and/or through voluntary work.
