North Sea Regatta

North Sea Regatta Week 2017 starts with the Vuurschepenrace from Scheveningen to Harwich on Saturday 27 May, followed by the RORC North Sea Race on 30 May. After the offshore races we continue with three days of inshore racing, starting on Friday 2nd of June. During the North Sea Regatta Week 2017 the J22 Worlds will also be held in Scheveningen, racing for the J22 Class starts on the 1st of June.There are no races scheduled on With Monday this year.

Bevrijdingsfestival Zuid-Holland:

Holland celebrates national freedom after WO II on the 5th of May. In Rotterdam one of the 14 National festivals takes place in Het Park, next to the Euromast. The festival celebrates and promotes the value of freedom by a divers program of music, debate and theatre. Location: Het Park (near the Euromast)

Keukenhof:

Keukenhof is unique, world famous, and for sixty years one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands. Nowhere can so much colour and odour be found as here, where more than 7 million flowers are a nice backdrop for beautiful photos. Come to Keukenhof and enjoy the ultimate spring feeling, wonderful art, the surprising inspiration gardens and the many flower shows.

Cheese market in Gouda or Alkmaar. 

From the middle of June until the middle of August, is in Gouda the famous cheese market, behind the city hall. 

The cheese market Alkmaar 2017 will take place from March 31st until September 29th, every Friday from 10 am until 12.30 pm on the Waagplein.
For three centuries are farmers from? the surrounding coming to the market in traditional costumes to show their centuries old cheese and to sell it. Once the deal is closed, cheese carriers use a barrow to take the sold cheese to the Waag, where it is weighed in the Waaggebouw. Currently, there are three pairs of scales: the lower, middle, and upper scale. 

Daily City Walk through Delft:

Walk with a guide along the canals of Delft and listen to the century old story behind the buildings and their residents, from Johannes Vermeer till the grave of the Dutch Royal Family. Be enchanted by the charm of Delft. For the City walk you can sign in at the reception. (price 2 euros)

General Market:

Every Thursday on the Markt with more than 150 stalls and every Saturday on the Brabantse Turfmarkt and the Burgwal (50 stalls).

Flower Market:

On Thursdays the flower market can be found at the Brabantse Turfmarkt in the inner city of Delft.

Antiques and Bric-a-Brac:

The popular Antiques, Bric-a-brac and book market is on of Delft’s best kept secrets. But it’s a secret we gladly share with you. If you are into antiques, bric-a-brac and books, make sure you visit Delft on any Thursday or Saturday from April 23rd 2017 until October, right in the historic centre of Delft.
