On Saturday 1nd April and Sunday the 2nd of April 2017 is the 40th edition of Kom in de kas (Come into the Greenhouse). Kom in de kas (Come into the greenhouse) is thelargest public event of the Dutch Greenhouse Horticulture. Hundreds of fruit, flower and plant breeders open their doors this weekend to welcoming the public. In several regions across the Netherlands, the public can come and see what's happening in the glass greenhouses

Keukenhof is unique, world famous, and for sixty years one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands. Nowhere can be found so much colour and odor as at Keukenhof, where more than 7 million flowers are a nice backdrop for beautiful photos. Come to Keukenhof and enjoy the ultimate spring feeling, wonderful art, the surprising inspiration gardens and the many flower shows.
The cheese market Alkmaar 2017 will take place from March 31st until September 29th, every Friday from 10 am until 12.30 pm on the Waagplein.
For three centuries are farmers from? the surrounding coming to the market in traditional costumes to show their centuries old cheese and to sell it. Once the deal is closed, cheese carriers use a barrow to take the sold cheese to the Waag, where it is weighed in the Waaggebouw. Currently, there are three pairs of scales: the lower, middle, and upper scale.

Right next to the campsite is a big recreational lake with a little beach where you can enjoy the sun during the summer months.
