The city Delft
Delft is a pleasant city for a short getaway. The beautifully well preserved historic city is located between The Hague and Rotterdam and can be reached easily by train. Delft enjoys a worldwide reputation due to its connection with Johannes Vermeer, Delft Blue earthenware and the Royal House. Relive its glorious past as you wander along canals, churches, mansions and courtyards. The city is also the home of one of the largest and most prestigious technical universities in The Netherlands, explaining the large student population that has turned Delft into a lively and fun place to visit. Aside from the many pubs, this university town also offers canal tours, a few different museums and weekly markets.
